SIDE COREは11月4日より、フランスで最も注目されるグラフィティチーム「PAL CREW」のSerge Riso（RIZOT）とAlexandre Bavard（MOSA）による展覧会『SHORT CIRCUIT』を原宿のBLOCK HOUSEにて開催いたします。2017年にパレ・ド・トーキョーにて若手の芸術賞を獲得したMOSAと、Serge Risoは、グラフィティムーブメントより生まれたコンセプチュアルアーティストで、ギャラリーでは多様なメディアを用いたインスタレーションを展開している。彼らの現在の軌跡、そして今回東京にて滞在制作した作品を是非ご高覧ください。

アートを作り出す街のエネルギーをどう使おう?スイッチを押す単純な圧力からドミノ効果が起こって、エレベーターが僕たちをタワーの最上階に導くように、僕たちは思いもよらないエネルギーに囲まれている。水力、風力、太陽や化石エネルギー……この惑星にとって有害だろうと再生可能だろうと、僕たちの時代の経済や政治の関心の中心は、エネルギーの制御やコントロールだということは否定できない。僕たちの想像力が映し出された普通じゃない街のアートワークスは、エネルギーを盗んだり再解釈して作られる。そしてアートは境界線で遊び、インスピレーションはどこでも見つけられることを示す。ゆえに東京はすばらしい遊び場だ。 “SHORT CIRCUIT”(漏電)も機械のビジョンだ。人間は自分たちの力を使った後に、自然エネルギーを利用して機械を作りだした。僕たちの社会での機械の居場所、目的、未来への疑問を投げる。“SHORT CIRCUIT”は、アートワークスとリアルなストリートに根ざした認識の間、エネルギーを再利用して、日本文化の発掘を象徴する展覧会となる。

“SHORT CIRCUIT”
SIDE CORE will hold an exhibition “SHORT CIRCUIT” by Serge Riso (RIZOT) and Alexandre Bavard (MOSA) of France’s most remarkable graffiti team “PAL CREW” at BLOCK HOUSE in Harajuku starting from November 4 . MOSA who won the young art award in Palais de Tokyo in 2017 and Serge Riso is a conceptual artist born from the graffiti movement and developing various media installations. We would like to ask for your cooperation in publicity and publicity for their current locus.
Statement by Artists:
How to use the energy of the city to create art? We are surrounded by unsuspected energy: from the simple pressure of a switch, the domino effect gets underway and the elevator propels us to the last floor of the tower. Hydraulic, eolic, solar or fossil energies…whether they are harmful for our planet or renewable, it is undeniable that in our era the control, the routing and the use of energy are at the centre of the economical and political interest. Therefore, Tokyo is a fabulous playground. By using, reinterpreting, stealing the energy where it is present, artworks that reflect our vision of a non-standard city are then created, and show that art plays with borders and can find inspiration anywhere.SHORT CIRCUIT is also a vision of the machine. After using their own force, humans have exploited the energies of nature to be able to create machines. It is questioning the place of machines in our societies, their purpose, their future. Between artworks and realisations well anchored in the reality of the street, SHORT CIRCUIT is an exhibition symbolising the discovery of Japanese culture by reutilising the energy. « Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed. » Antoine Lavoisier.
