A Song to Heaven, Improvised Dialogue
A SONG TO HEAVEN, IMPROVISED DIALOGUE
Photographs from “A Song to Heaven or Japan Sublime in Frank Lloyd Wright”, the awarded travelogue project by Marta Pedro, documenting a unique remake of the first trip of the American architect to Japan in 1905 and the influences that Japan exerted in his work, are the starting point for a creative collaboration project with the violinist Ayumi Paul.
In an improvised dialogue, playing with images and sound, Marta and Ayumi will disclose a sensorial imaginary that will be born out this unique live performance. The images will incite the music and the sounds produced by the violin will challenge an unknown sequence of a visual narrative.
This is the first encounter and challenge of both artists, which will reveal the on-going collaboration process that is behind the creation of a soundscape and an installation work for the project “A Song to Heaven”.
