Block House 4Fで、Aikiの初めての個展を開催します。
「Unleash Your Mind…」は、展示場という名の白い箱のようなスペースを使って、いかに自分の脳を解放し、自由になれるかを追求する展示です。
「私の部屋は、私が自分でいられる場所。年を重ねるにつれ、部屋の外では本当の自分らしくいることが難しくなってきた気がします。それは、大人になることの副作用ってやつなのかもしれません。私の部屋は、人の不在を感じる広くもなく、閉塞感を感じるほど狭くもない、自分らしく考えて振る舞うことができる場所です。」
今回の個展を通じて、誰もが自分の心とありのままの自分を解放できるような空間と機会を作り上げたいと考えています。そして、その「解放する」という行為を通じて、私たちを日々形作っているこのシステマチックな社会の中でも、一人ひとりがもう少し生きやすさ、そして心地よさを見つけられたらと思います。
Block House 4F will present the first solo exhibition by Aiki.
"Unleash Your Mind…" is an exhibition that explores how we can free our mind and find freedom within a space that resembles a blank white box.
Over the years I think it has become hard for me to really be myself outside my room, where I find comfort. I guess that’s the side effects of becoming older. My room is not too big to feel the absence of people, and not too small to feel claustrophobic. I can think like me and act like me. It is a space only for me, myself, and I.
Through this exhibition I hope to create a space where everyone is given the space and the opportunity to unleash their mind, their beasts, and their honest selves. And I hope through the act of unleashing, individuals can find more comfort in this systematic society that constructs us everyday.
